OTHER TYPES OF ASTROLOGICAL WORK, BY JODIE

Jodie (not Steven) offers the following services locally, on audio cassette and mailed to you, or by phone. Phone sessions and all taped work should be pre-arranged and either charged to a credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express), or prepaid by check or money order at the hourly rate. (Regular birthcharts, transits and progressions, and synastries are not done on the phone.) If the work takes less than an hour, part of the fee will be refunded. If more than an hour may be required, you'll be contacted to discuss your options.

ELECTIONAL ASTROLOGY: What's the best date & time for a wedding, starting a business, moving, putting a house on the market, etc? State the question, with both the beginning and ending days, days of the week, and hours of the day of its possible time frame. You'll get the three best days & times with no interpretation. If that's all Jodie does, within one time frame, it's $75.00 per electional. Anything more complicated goes on the $100.00 an hour rate.

HORARY ASTROLOGY: Most questions can be addressed astrologically. Are you wondering about a career change? A partnership? Horary Astrology can often give accurate, specific insights into the outcome of a matter. Horary techniques are technically complicated but if requested, Jodie will include a brief non-jargon explanation of how and why she arrived at her conclusions.
    Please state the question as precisely as possible, because horary is very literal and will answer it word for word as you asked it. For example, if you are wondering whether you will get a specific job that you really want if you quit the one you have now, you should ask, "Will I get this job I really want?" not "Should I quit my job?"

PLEASE NOTE THAT in addition to the horary fee, any time over twenty minutes spent determining your precise question or discussing the outcome with you will also be billed at Jodie's $100.00 thematic work rate.

Note: Use Horaries to help determine WHETHER a given action is advisable. Use Electionals to find the best time for an action to which you are ALREADY COMMITTED.  For example, "Should I apply for this job?" is an horary question.
"When should I apply for this job?" is an electional question.
 

RELOCATIONS: Travel and moving emphasize different areas of your birthchart...rather like "permanent transits" in the relocated place. A relocated chart does not REPLACE your birthchart!!! But it can play up or play down various configurations in your birthchart. Relocation work can consider astro*cart*ography (copyright Jim Lewis) or local space maps of the world, continent, country or region.
*Relocated charts recast--"relocate"--your birthchart as if you'd been born in a different city.
*Astro*cart*ography tracks the paths of your natal planets' rising, setting and crossing the midheaven and nadir, across the whole globe or a portion of it, during the 24 hours of your birthday.
* Local space is like astrological feng shui. It converts your natal planets to a degrees N-S-E-W position on the 360-degree compass wheel, centered on your birthplace. * You can also center your local space 360-degree map wherever you are: a blueprint of your house, your home's position on a map of your town, your lodgings in another city, etc. In either astro-mapping technique, a site along a planetary line produces an increased emphasis on the affairs ruled by that planet.

CHART RECTIFICATION SERVICE: Can't find your birthtime?
    First, I encourage you to explore every other possibility (relatives, baby books, the hospital records, etc.) to verify your birth time or at least get a ballpark figure for it, because rectification may not be accurate, and because its accuracy will vary with the time frame within which you were born. What does that mean?  For example, if you know you were born between noon and 2 p.m., the rectification will probably be more accurate than if you know you were born between noon and 4 p.m.
    Still, sometimes finding a birthtime is impossible. If you've tried everything with no success, I can "work backwards" through astrology's predictive techniques to find a chart that would have accurately predicted the timing of various biographical events. I'll need a list of at least two dozen emotionally or developmentally significant dates in your life, along with brief descriptions of them--"got married," for example.
    The fee varies with the imprecision of the birth time. Please note that the rectification fee is added to the normal fee for a reading. For a rectification only without a reading, see the fee schedule below.

For time frames wider than six hours, ask if rectification is feasible in your case.

THEMATIC ANALYSIS: Analysis of specific chart-related questions. The potential expression of many different themes within a chart can be addressed: vocation, relationships, creativity, parenting, etc.

ANALYSIS OF PAST EVENTS: Is there a chapter of your life on which you'd like more perspective?

MONTHLY OR SEASONAL TRANSIT ANALYSIS: Events unfolding in your chart can be examined from the briefer, more detailed perspective of a more limited time frame than a regular transits and progressions reading.

FAMILY SYSTEMS: Considers recurring astrological dynamics within your natal or present family.

FEES FOR THE ABOVE WORK:  $100.00 an hour on cassette and mailed, or done locally in person, or by phone, with a half-hour minimum.

BUSINESS SUPPORT: Anything that has a specific beginning in time--including your company--has a birthchart with its own transits and progressions. If you're researching a large corporation, many of those charts are available. Business support can include but isn't limited to such matters as:
* When to start or incorporate your own company
* When to carry out various business decisions
* Where to open your next office or branch
* When to hire new personnel
* Team-building synastries. What are the co-workers' interactive strengths and weaknesses? For a small business or a department with ten or fewer employees, the company's composite chart shows the entity formed by that group of people, how to nourish their cooperative spirit, and how to work with the typical tensions that might arise. Synastries may also be done from one company chart to another, as well as between a business person and his/her company and client(s).

FEES FOR BUSINESS SUPPORT WORK: $100.00 an hour, either taped on cassette and mailed, or a local in-office or phone session, half hour minimum. Inquire about rates for on-site work.

Please be certain of the accuracy of the birth data you provide us! If you've made a mistake and need the chart re-done, you'll be charged the full price for the corrected order, unless the birth data error was ours and not yours.

Also please do not adjust the birthtime for daylight or war time if you think it was in effect. We have sophisticated astrological atlases that will do any such adjustment for you, so please just give us the birth time exactly as it was stated on the birth certificate or birth record, or exactly as it was given to you by your parents, without your adjusting it in any way.
